As part of our Titanic topic we went to the Titanic Quarter. We were able to see where the Titanic was built. Everyone was given a set of headphones so we could listen carefully to all the information our tour guide was telling us. We also used clay and paint to make the Titanic. Towards the end of our topic we worked in groups to consider who might have been to blame. We looked at all the evidence relating to the disaster and everyone was able to decide who they thought was to blame for the sinking of the Titanic.
As part of science day we were given the task of building a structure using only spaghetti and marshmallows to be able to hold the weight of a chocolate orange for 30 seconds. We also investigated how milk, food colouring and fairy liquid mix. To finish the day off we observed how boiling water drains the colour from skittles.
As part of our writing topic for this half term we made rocky roads and top hats. We were then able to write out the recipe for these using the correct format.
