This term we have enjoyed learning through our new topic ‘School’s Cool’. We have been learning about the many different roles within our school and the duties that they have. We particularly enjoyed learning about schools around the world and about how schools were quite different in the past. We don’t think we would have liked to go to school back then!
In mental maths we have all been learning how to add and subtract 10 and 20 quickly and easily in our head. We have also been practising telling the time on an analogue and digital clock and to order the months and seasons of the year.
We have been learning about procedural writing and have read and written many different types of instructions. We learnt how to make hot chocolate and fruit salad and then wrote excellent recipes for others to follow. We also sequenced instructions on how to wash our hands and brush our teeth.
We have been learning a lot of new Christmas songs and are now looking forward to our Nativity Service ‘Baubles’, when we can share in the story of the very first Christmas with our friends and family.
