Nursery

We have been very busy in the outdoors this month. We got a lovely new sand house and cottage and we have been making fabulous buildings in the sand and acting out the story of the 3 bears in the cottage. We have read lots of stories, brushed up the leaves, collected and counted the leaves and we have been learning about crossing the road safely. We visited Forest School which we loved and lit our own campfire and had marshmallows and Miss McGimpsey's wonderful hot chocolate and thanks to Mr Campbell for our lovely singing.

We had Mum's and Dads in Nursery for Story Reading, which made us so happy. We have been making junk art models, looking at dark and light and we are doing our yoga each week. We have started visiting the computer suite in school and we have made Gingerbread Men, vegetable soup and Porridge. We have loved reading our Fairy Tales as well. We all dressed in spots and stripes for Children in Need....

November

We have had such fun going on our trip to Crawfordsburn and learning more about Autumn. We have been looking at books, drawing, playing with bubbles and making new obstacle courses. We have made lots of pies, soup, stew and dinners in the mud kitchen. We have started doing yoga in Nursery and we dressed in purple for World Mental Health Day. We have been doing lots of counting both inside and outside and we made a rainbow fruit salad and apple and blackberry crumble-using our own apples. We investigated Autumn seeds in ice and we had a visit from Lorraine at the Ark Farm. We found out about hedgehogs, tortoises, a chinchilla and even a snake!!! We finished off with a party and we dressed-up if we wanted to. We played pass the parcel, duck duck goose and musical statues...it was great fun....
