Litter picking! 🗑🚯♻️

The Eco Warriors did a litter pick around the school. Unfortunately, we found more rubbish than we thought we would!

Thank you to Donaghadee Garden Centre who donated all of this bark for the Foundation Outdoor Play Area! ☺️

The Eco Warriors worked hard to weed the old bark and lay out the new bark or P1 & P2 to enjoy!

Our first Committee meeting! ✏️

We choose the 3 topics we want to focus on this year. Mr Boyd explained how we could help with the blue recycling bins in school!

In school we have been learning about the importance of recycling and reducing waste. There are 5 ways in the picture below in which you can help save the ocean 🌊 and the planet. 🌏

You may also find this Newsround video interesting. It reminds us of what plastic is and why we should try and reduce the amount that we are using.

Making Learning Greener!

Here are 30 days worth of activities for the Nursery and Foundation aged children to enjoy whilst out on their daily walk or in their garden! It is a strange time at the moment and these activities will allow the children to get out of the house and engage with nature!

Ditch the Dark Day

Thank you to everyone who made Ditch the Dark Day such a success! We had so much fun wearing a variety of brightly coloured clothing. Throughout the day we enjoyed doing ECO related activities,  we also had a visit from the Recycling Bus and Christian Aid.

The Eco Council is elected by P5-P7 classes each September following speeches and a class vote.  The Eco Council have been working very hard to renew the prestigious Green Flag Award.
