Nursery

We have been making pancakes, fruit salad and buns and we enjoyed eating them too. We all dressed up for World Book Day and we read lots and lots of our favourite stories. We had a visit from Theo’s Dad, Jane the Vet and the Police. We have enjoyed playing with all our friends inside and outside. We invited our Mums and Dads into Nursery to Sneak-A-Peek at all our activities. They joined in very well and couldn’t believe how grown- up we are getting.

We have been very busy since Christmas looking at winter and ice and making lots of different snow pictures and we made lovely vegetable soup to keep us warm. We have had visits from some Mums and Grannies to read us super stories. We have also had a visit from a Doctor, Nurse and the Fire Service and we really listened well and got to do lots of new things. We have Jo-Jingles visiting us and we have learned lots about animals and the weather as well as playing lots of musical instruments. We have been playing games, looking at 2D shapes and sequencing using blocks and games on the interactive whiteboard. We did lots of counting on NSPCC Number Day and we are looking forward to lots more visitors and to making pancakes!!!

The children have been very busy playing in both the outdoor and indoor areas. We had a visit from Lorraine from the Ark Farm and she brought animals for us to see. We got to stroke a snake, a spider, a ground squirrel, a hedgehog and a tortoise. We listened really well and had lots of questions about animals. We also enjoyed carving our pumpkins and dressing up for our party.

What a busy start to the year in Nursery! We have been settling in and learning new routines and making new friends. We have been playing outside and inside everyday and we have been reading books, dressing up and playing in the sand house. We invited our parents to Crawfordsburn and had a lovely morning playing on the beach and walking in the woods to collect leaves, sticks and conkers. It has been great fun!!!
